... frustrated is an obvious understatement!! Thankfully we happened upon a kind, competent airline worker. AND thankfully all our flights from Panama back through to San Jose had been with the same airline. She actually pulled us out of line, canceled our Houston to BR flight and the NOLA to Houston flight, AND put us on a flight to San Jose THAT night. A stoke of luck for us. This took her all of 15 minutes! We gave her big hugs and ran flat out to catch our plane. ...

... not the safest thing to do but we had three tour leaders with us and a big group so we were ok. We finally found a working ATM in a convenience store that also had a beer cooler so while some got money others got some beers to drink while walking to the bar. We worked up quite a thirst walking around to find the ATM... ... didn't occur to me until much later in the tour to try the video feature on my camera. Costa Rica has 3000 species of butterflies!

Today was our first opportunity to meet our local guide, Jheudy. He proved to be a wealth of knowledge about the geography, history, economics, politics, and plant and animal life of Costa Rica.

... like the first people to turn up to a party and the parents were trying to make it as fun as possible! At one point the music on the stereo stopped and the guy rushed over to put something else on and called out 'sorry the music stopped!' to us! Funny and awkward at the same time!
