Given a key and gesticulated to a very basic room with two single beds with an incredibly noisy fan and pretty much no window (glass slats that didn't shut properly and broken mosquito netting outside). It was pretty grim. We were bitten by something within ten minutes of lying on the beds and quickly decided we didn't want to stay there for longer than needed. ... summer here comes to a close, many of the trees still have flowers on them. Some still have gorgeous pink blooms, purple, orange, and yellow thus far. Before I arrived, Carlos had sent me many photos of these trees in full bloom, and the hillsides looked as multicolored as the trees back home when all the fudgies come around for the color tours.

My first meal here was a rack of ribs at a Texan Honky Tonk. LOL. Who knew? The table cloths had a red and white checkered ...

After all the travelling, I'm now lost.

... most of it walking uphill into town. Market was closed, so that will give me something to do for my remaining days left here before I travel on. They do have rather a lot of shoe shops here though...

it's hard to believe that this part of the tour ends here with the rest of the group going home on 1st Feb. waved goodbye to them, and going to sit by the pool with a beer for a couple of days.
