Today has been on of the longest days of my life. I got maybe four hours of sleep and then woke up promptly at 2:00am for a 6:00am flight. The flights went without a hitch expect for a little bit of turbulence over Costa Rica. The ride held much anxious anticipation, which quickly dissipated after waiting in the hour and a half line for customs! However, nothing can beat the feel of fresh Costa Rican air ...

... the window to let some diesel air in rather than endure it for the whole way. Finally we arrived in San Jose at 9pm and got a taxi to a backpackers I had checked was near the city centre. The advice was the city is dodgy ater dark so we were on alert and it was clear there was a lot of security on the windows and doors everywhere. We arrived at the backpackers and got a decent double room with a bathroom. Thankfully the hostel had a restaurant attatched and we had a meal there. ...

... was a very festive atmosphere for sure. Trucks and trailers were parked everywhere along the streets near our hotel and the city dumped piles of dirt that were used instead of ramps to load the horses into the trucks when the festival ended later in the evening.
We had a group meeting and met our CEO Cindy in the evening and had a nice dinner in the hotel.

... difference was really noticeable even though it was only about an hours drive. For lunch we went to a really cool taco bar and I had their 'famous' fish taco which was really good.
