      We arrived in this beautiful city at dusk so we weren't able to get the most out of it. Stayed there only for one hour and we spent that time in Parco Civico capturing the flickering lights of the city surrounded by mountains. The view from the shores of Lake Lugano was fascinating. It's truly a must-visit city and I'd love to go back and see it in broad daylight. ...

      Number 2 suggestion from our receptionist was to go to Villa Carlotta near Tremezzo – a short hop across the lake – for a one hour concert featuring a classical soprano and pianist and the music of Tosti, Verdi, Bellini and others.
