... road seemed to be a pedestrian street as it was cobbled, narrow and full of people and we were sure we shouldn’t be driving down it but surprisingly this is the main road into town. The hotel Florence was a delight, right on the banks of picturesque Lake Como. I had a beautiful room with a window opening to the view. We had a walk around the very picturesque town, bought a few souvenirs and later cracked a bottle of Ayala champagne that Barbara and Leigh ...

Soon we are heading out of Milan and make our way up into the mountains for the 55 minute ride to Varenna where we will catch a ferry to Bellagio. The views are spectacular and all is going fantastico as we pull into Varenna until two stupid Poms don't know how to open the ...

As much as I loved my.dinner last night, it didn't love me. It could have been the Procesco I drank pre-dinner, or the wine with dinner, or the post dinner grappa, espresso or the night cap Frangelico! By the time my tummy settled I made it out to the square by the lake where the weekly market was held. The fruits, produce, cheeses and meats -all local, were all so tempting to buy. I didn't time myself very well and called for a taxi about 30 minutes before ...
