We arrived in this beautiful city at dusk so we weren't able to get the most out of it. Stayed there only for one hour and we spent that time in Parco Civico capturing the flickering lights of the city surrounded by mountains. The view from the shores of Lake Lugano was fascinating. ... Milan we decided to see the mighty Duomo under daylight so we headed off there again. Despite the guys trying to sell you stuff it was great strolling around the piazza once again and we pretty much spent the whole day around. After the Funicolare ride, we took one final stroll through the city centre, then walked back to the apartment. We’re heading out of Como and into the mountains tomorrow, so after dinner (we ate in tonight) we spent some time packing up and getting ready for our journey out of Italy and into the Alps. It will be a whole new adventure tomorrow!

On the way back through, we stopped in Lugano to pick up the kids' hats and mittens, which I had left to dry on the radiator in the hotel room and forgotten to pick up. The hotel had them and was able to get them right away! We also stopped at the grocery store for a few cheesy and chocolaty treats to take home.
