      ... the castle, where I stop for coffee. It's very steep and my legs are feeling it. I carry on and eventually come out at tiny little lakeside town.       ... That seems a bit odd. Not sure where the sand would come from. Probably just my eyes. We pass through lots of little villages which are very agricultural. It's so much more satisfying going by train than flying. It's not a cheap way to travel though. A Eurail pass would be the way to go if you're moving around a lot. The trains in Italy have been pretty good actually. I'm a little surprised. Although they're not suitcase friendly. They're not flat ...

      ... appreciate the course that had been set out. So after we settled the bill. Bikes went in all directions. Me a distinct disadvantage to choose which way to go independently I without sat nav so safety in numbers methinks, I tacked onto a group of four bikes going south to avoid the rain.
