Next day be caught the number 12 bus which took us to the piazza Michael Angelo which is on a hill that over looks the city of Florence and has a bronze 5m tall replica statue of David. ... us to his favorite place (it was closed the first night), and off we go. The spot is just down the street and we are the only ones there. It is a small, cozy area with a bar tucked in the corner, the whole place can fit in my livingroom, beautiful. We sit down, get water and wine then we get down to business. We enjoy cheeses and meats from the area, good house wine and desserts. After a short walk back to the hotel it is beddy bye time. Night, night....hmmmm...what's for ...

... a lot of fat old wrinkly people in togs that were too small for them (men in particular) chain smoking and throwing their butts in the sea. They quite happily walked around the camp in them, and sat at the resturant in them. Tried to have a nap on the beach but it was such craziness that didnt happen!

... up. Julie only has one lighter shirt, and you can wear things only so many days in a row. Luckily, in the shade it is cooler, and much of (at least the older parts) of the Italian cities & towns have narrow streets so often you can avoid the direct sun. We have seen many sunburned people. One upside of the longer clothes is that even without sunscreen, we have not gotten sunburned.
