... stop was the amphitheater a truly spectacular sight where they still perform opera and ballet. They really built things to last here!!! Final stop in Verona was the Giardino Giusti gardens which were created at the end of the 15th century and from the top offer a beautiful panorama of Verona. This is the last leg of our Italian adventure. Left Venice this morning by water taxi from our hotel to the train station. After a short train journey arrived in Verona. Our hotel is a beautifully converted palazzo very grand!!! Of course we had to explore the shops first although shock and horror there is no Prada!! for the enthusiast. It began to rain a bit as we rode away into the
city, which was busy but not manic. We managed to find a motorcycle
parking ...

... When it turned up, it was a nearly new catamaran
almost as quick as the fast cat from the day before. Arriving back
in Sirmione, the weather soon began to brighten up and it turned into
a lovely day again. We took our time looking in the shops and
stopping for a couple of beers in a tiny bar. Jayne bought me a
magnificent Fossil watch in one of the shops. We walked from one end
of the town and back again, taking in ...
