... the hoops teachers have to jump through to
actually become a teacher in Spain, Germany, England and of course, Canada.

I had a good time in Toulouse, I really liked the feel of
the city. It was nice, clean, young and had a cute little downtown area. In fact,

bricks that the buildings there are made out of.

The next morning we woke up and caught our next train to

... some quality was sacrificed. I spent the rest of the afternoon coordinating trip details with Hannah, talking with my mom, and watching Netflix. I wanted to venture out and experience Toulouse, but Jordi was too tired and me navigating such a big city on my own is dangerous. Plus, why start out the trip with extra strain on my budget. ... and paintings. We loved a special exhibition of Benjamin Constant (1845-1902), with exquisite paintings of scenes in Morocco and various portraits. It was all an extra bonus as admissions were free, due to a strike we think. There was also the Saint Sernin Basilica, built in the 5th century. We had lunch at a restaurant above the market in Les Halles Victor Hugo. Good value and nice food at Le Magret for €19 each for three courses. We started with rounds of toasted ...

... a straight but busy ride into Toulouse with lots of traffic. We arrived just before 3pm, which coincided with Steve and Jill's arrival with the van. My outstanding roommate had not only dragged my bag to our room, but greeted me with a glass of champagne and of course a beer. We both decided to pack our bikes right way so that task was out of the way, so the cycling portion of the trip is truly over.
