    Casual start to the morning with a croissant and coffee for breakfast, followed by 6 hours walking around Old Town Genoa. The sights around the upper end are much better than the port, we sat on the steps of a church for half an hour and did some people watching.

    Au Revoir Nice, back on the train again today, stay was too short. Train travel has been very easy and enjoyable so far apart from that one leg where it was very hot and stuffy.

    Catch the Train from Nice Ville to Genova Piazza Principe on the Trenitalia Thello, had four seats to ourselves for most of the way. Travelled through Monte Carlo, San Remo and all along the coast to Genoa.

    Monday August 3 We departed from Lesley and Jim off on our unplanned adventures. Firstly to Genova for one night and then onto cinque terre. First stop was the train station and as we had booked and picked up our tickets early that morning this was very straight forward. We boarded the train and found our seats without any dramas.     Last day and Chrissi packs while I run up town to do a few last minute things ...i walk her to the bus to farewell my fello traveller ...she's off to Barcelona ...then Paris ...go girl !! Then...     ... t do that every weekend). We will be gone from Saturday to Sunday. Then I leave on Friday for a trip (by myself, thankfully) to Copenhagen to stay with Anja. I am excited to see her. She is sweet as can be and her little boy, Noah, is SO cute! I haven't obviously met her husband, but we'll see. She wants me to help rearrange her furniture, so we'll be doing that as well. Oh my.

    Off to get some more work done on my list.
