    ... going! Apparently tornado went thru part Venice with a fatality but only poured for half hour on us. On way back dropped some passengers at St Marks Square but no time for us as was meeting our new friends Mary and Eric from Melbourne for drink at 7 15 so quick shower for us. Swapped names numbers email addresses etc and had fun hour or two. Unfortunately had pack last things for luggage collection at 9.     ... freezing. That's with the full complement of beanies,gloves,scarves (and thermals for some). Couldn't get to our ferry stop soon enough. Found the hotel, beautiful, and warm and cosy in minutes. Settled in quickly, and then all desperately hungry, so headed off with directions from reception, to a nearby restaurant strip.     ... thought of the performances and the reviews was mostly saying good, I was getting excited and really keen. There was some traffic on the way but luckily I left an hour before-hand, the cab ride only costed me $15 get to the plaza.
