The smells of Tangier
... assault! (see attached photo of woman just before grabbing her projectiles).
We then had some lunch at a Moroccan restaurant. The meal ensued the same as always, with Mel trying everything first and then telling me if I’d like it. She’s very good at it actually, and I appreciate not having my tastebuds assaulted. I only didn’t eat the meat - everything else was really delicious. A lentil soup, some bread and couscous.

Downstairs you could shop, and the Norwegian lady actually bought a leather briefcase. It was pretty nice. Anna liked the little wooden boxes, and I thought the tiny pocket ...

... center at the bottom of the V. One earthquake and you’d have a river of rubble slide down and bury the whole thing. Or at least it looks that way. Add to extreme altitude, a really weird prison, and the sketchiest, most coked-out gringos on the South American continent and you’ve got a pretty crazy city by any standard.
