... We found the entrance and paid a small fee to tour the inside, and it was worth every penny. On the rear balcony was a large carved altar of wood and gold, showing the scene of the last supper. Like the other ones in this church, the altar had wings that could be folded in like a large cabinet. This was the only church we toured that allowed us to walk on the main altar and even around the backside to see the many medieval paintings covering it. This, I thought ...

This is a once in a lifetime experience, and I have lots of pictures, videos, and journal entries about everything and everyone. Things are awesome. The people and places are awesome, and I'm loving every minute of it.
So, if you're reading this, it is very likely that I miss and love you.

... old churches. The closing ceremony program was a delight with everyone coming back to participate in it and all the young women of the dance troop carried lit torches. It was enjoyable and moving. What an incredible ending to the day!
Now to find the campsite. We spotted it coming in, so back we went. The gates arms are down, I go to find someone to let us in. There are a couple of men drinking beer and I ask if we can come in. He says ...

On Sunday we worked on our case study in the morning, and basically did the whole thing. it was hard to make the powerpoint coz they didn't have powerpoint but had openoffice instead, and the whole thing was in german. it went ok tho.
we presented the case to Johan Fitz, it went well.

... of the wall and walked along the wall before descending into the town to browse the many shops. There were some interesting and neat things to see, but there were a lot of tourists also. I heard almost as much English spoken as I did German.
However, the trip was worth it. This was on town I was interested in seeing, and I am planning on a return trip sometime to take the Watchman night tour of the town for an English guided tour.
... dogs everywhere - to the restaurants, bars, malls, etc. I admired their relationships with their dogs. The dogs were socialized well as I do not recall ever seeing a dog fight or snip at anyone. I figure they were either highly socialized or they had all been debarked. I'm sure it was the former. No trash. I seldom saw trash on the road or anywhere around. I soon realized that the German concept of time was much different ...
Ansbach, Bavaria, Germany jrsherman81054... no idea who organized this store or what their thinking was. As my mood darkened I almost didn't have the strength to push on to the check out section but as I rolled the out-of-control cart down the beer lane, I threw in one of each bottle I passed by. I figure I have to learn something while I'm here. Tomorrow I see the good Docktor Otto at Banhoufer 10. He hopes he will be able to fix my tooth and is hoping I am in not too much pain. PS One thing I have ...
Ansbach, Bavaria, Germany kitchenshrinkFrom Munich, it takes a bit more than 3 hours by train to get to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, a charming medieval town in the Bavaria region, another city on the Romantic Road route. A series of walls and towers defended the city over the ages, and the most recent still stands and surrounds most of the older part of the city. Rothenburg's old houses, towers, and gateways that have withstood the ravages of the centuries are there for you to explore. Tourists throng the streets, but ...
