After the hustle and bustle of a series of cities, plus the confrontational nature of Nazi/ Hitler/Holocaust etc, it was so nice to escape to a small town on the Elbe River. Having said that, I must admit I was impressed with the way Germany does not dilute or avoid mentioning the horrors of the past. There is no elephant in the corner of the room! Only update were I'm now.
Cut my day a bit short yesterday, because of bad weather. Stopped just short of Goerliz.
120 km, through wet and slippery bikeways, crossing the "Saxon Schweiz", very challenging!

... intending to try, so this seemed to be the optimal time. I felt like a true German when I decided to dine outside although the temperature was I sure in the 50s.
