... city lit up at night along the riverbanks. Wow! We also saw a riverside monument to Jews who were shot into the river, being forced to remove their shoes first. There were 40 pairs of bronze shoes along the edge. We ate in a number of nice restaurants, usually outside, and enjoyed some of the local dishes. I particularly liked the goulash. ... do it, I knew people were waiting for us to get changed and would come knocking on the door. I regret that non action more than anything. We have a package that allows us access to everything, outdoor pools, saunas, heated indoor pools and a relaxation area on the rooftop with free fruit platters and drinks.

We really had no idea what to expect as our only other over night train was in Vietnam and that was a nightmare. Once we found our carriage there was a very helpful conductor who, showed us to our little cabin and said lock the door and I will knock in the morning when it's time to get up...feeling very strange we did just that and we actually got some sleep!

Here's the problem with Europe and travel blogging: When you move effortlessly from one gorgeous city to the next, it starts to sound like a broken record after a while.

And so it goes.

Here I am in beautiful Budapest, Hungary with yet another bevy of must-see sights under my belt. From the Grand Synagogue (the largest in the world outside of New York) to the Royal Palace, Castle Hill, Memento Park and the Opera House, there was a lot to see and do.
