Just how I managed to get lost when the hotel was so close to the Arc de Triomphe is beyond me, I mean it is a pretty hard landmark to miss when you are on the Champs Elysees, and our hotel was literally only a 5 minute walk from the arch. In my defense there are 4 or 5 roads that meet at the arch and I think I took the wrong one, which meant that a 20 minute walk back to the hotel ended up being a 50 minute one.
