    ... got a little annoying..... From there we headed to the First Largest Cuckoo Clock in the world (it has been beaten now, but was in the Guinness World Records in 1995) – we were there at Midday so got the full 12 Cuckoos from the clock...
    We also visited Hornberg, a nice village but not much to see...

    ... spa. We decided to stay for two nights as it was Andrew's 65th birthday the next day. A real birthday treat.     ... beams on the ceilings. It also had aircon, which meant we slept comfortably. Spent the afternoon walking around the walls and streets. It's a really pretty village and well worth a stop. Interestingly, there's a bas relief of a town hero on the main gate, thumbing his nose and baring his buttocks at the enemy. Month Python obviously didn't come up with the idea.     ... called the maneater. Sad stuff. From there headed into Colmar, the bigger town of the area. A really beautiful place. Half timbered and stone houses and flowers everywhere. Had a really nice look around, and then spent the night in a really nice hotel, the Turenne. Took a salad down to the town square about 8pm and listened to the live music and watched people. ...
