    ... signs etc. But I am slowly learning words like please and thank you which help a great deal. The sounds are just like nothing I have every heard or said before but i am trying. and failing hard. thank god i have some friends that have some conversational polish, because they come from backgrounds with similar languages. Kristina and Tanya are from Slovenia and the Ukraine so they have similar words so they help me translate things like menus and directions.

    updates: my room mate has come home finally. She is from northern poland and this is her second degree. She went to undergrad for economics first now is back to do art. I forgot her name. I'm an awful person I know! I know! and she speaks alright english. oh and ordering thai food in polish is the most difficult thing i have ever done. ...

    ... alas, I couldn't find the bus. I asked just about everyone at the bus station which platform to wait at and showed them my ticket. I was told many different things. I was on the verge of tears because there was only 2 minutes until this bus, where ever it was, was about to leave when finally a kind bus driver took me to platform 5 where I asked the other people waiting there of they were going to Berlin on the 7am bus and thankfully they said yes. ...
