... spent saying goodbye to all of our amazing friends and trying not to cry (Nic anyway). This entailed a lot of eating and drinking and a lot of hugs. The day had arrived and with a 6 am flight this meant a very early wake up call, but we were rewarded by getting upgraded to business class on our flight. Day four saw another very relaxed morning including a walk down to the local Sunday markets which was very nice, however very very cold! Then we came back and had a lovely hot meal of pork spare ribs before heading off to Andy's daughter's place for a few hours in the afternoon.

Bodensee, Leichtenstein, and Lindau

... at indoor fairs, these towns have small wooden booths which take several weeks to set up that fill their streets and squares. Lindau's market does start until next week.

For a small place it has lots of different restaurants. Greek, Italian, French, Donairs (of course), Swiss, German and Sardinian. Yes, yes I know that Sardinia is part of Italy.

As I'm on a bike I make my way to the front of the queue and stop at the
red. Under this light is a countdown which when I stopped was just below 4
minutes. I would love to know how long some of these cars have been standing
here waiting.
We are now sitting right down below major roadwork's on the cliff edge
above. A small single road has been built into the edge of the mountain as a

... so intricate and were hidden in some of the designs in the rooms. These rooms were very detailed- in the King's bedroom, some of the woodworking alone took 3 years to finish just in that room! It was a short tour, but we were able to spend as much time as we liked outside and in the shops, which was in an unfinished part of the castle. It was all so interesting to be able to see both the finished and unfinished part of the castle! I liked that we were able to see both ...
