Tuesday 30 th Sept Yesterday we visited 2 castles and drove the Bavarian Alpine road through some breathtaking countryside. First up was the Linderhoff Palace our host Peter recommended this castle over the more popular Neuschwantein Castle. The Linderhoff palace was built by King Ludwig,and the design was based on the famous Versailles of Paris . We didnt get to see Versailles while in Paris so this was the next best for us . ... Disney created the castle at Disneyland. But we didn't go into it because it's really such a tourist stop....several bus loads arrived just before us and the line for tickets was over a block long. We have one photo.. From a lovely cemetery in Fussen.

Our spellplatze for the night was quite large but comfortable with lots of stores within walking distance. We stayed two nights here because it rained all day ...
