... on Crete. It's a brief reprieve to what's coming. What stands between us and the sea is a 12%25 grade of maybe 30 switchbacks that wind their way all the way to, ***** ass Fackeon. It's a view to die for and if you're not careful you might. The Cretans are known for their rebelliousness and "don't give a ****" attitude. And we've hit the end of tourist season so it feels that way. There are beaches and restaurants and water taxis and bakeries but if ...

This morning we woke up in Chania, Crete. We had been to Crete some years ago but were on the other side of the island. It was OK then but it was nothing to rave about. In the center of ...

Weather: glorious. Slip, slop, slap.
6.30am arrived at the Island of Crete where we disembarked at Ag. Nikolaos (means Saint Nicholas) where Olive Oil products are paramount. The Cretan diet is known as one of the healthiest diets in the world (1/3 largest).
We did a tour of the Palace of Knossos where the Monoan Civilization thrived in the Bronze age (roughly 3,000 BC) within the Aegean. The palace was ...

... our towels down and soak up the sun whilst we can, before we know we won’t see it again until Turkey.

I smash out a few laps along the coastline before lunch before we decide to go up to the restaurant around 2pm. Because there is nobody around, the service is fast and we get a front row view of the amazing and deserted beach in front of us. We decide to order a Greek Salad and a meat mixed grill with a beer for Aaron and a coffee for me and celebrate the life of ...
