We drove the outer circle of the plateau and stopped at Dikteo Antro, a cave of stalactites and stalagmites where legend has it that Zeus was born (free entry too because it was the national Greek Day of the Flag holiday!). We then walked to the Church of the Virgin Mary. This is the main church of Chania. It is quite small in side but very pretty. After our visit to the church, Dennis and I walked back to the ship. We have walked at least 2 miles every day and sometimes as many as four.

Crete-the wine, the food, the hospitality and kitties! Crete is known for the cats-a pretty healthy bunch of semi-feral cats that are all over the island.
