      Sick and tyred

A travel blog entry by simpsonbigtrip on Apr 10, 2015

... we completed the last leg with Tate on my cross bar and everyone else on their bikes, I felt completely exhausted when we got back. Still there was a nice pool to head to and cool off so this is exactly what we did, with me striding around the campsite with just the budgie smugglers on. ... E Leclerc. We also wanted to stock up on some French goodies to take home with us so when we saw a sign for Leclerc we followed it, even if it meant leaving our route. Once we got there we couldn't get into the car park because there were height restricted barriers that we couldn't get under but we eventually found one that was turned sideways so we could get through. Stella Plage

A travel blog entry by johndibbo on Nov 21, 2014

Moved on the Stella Plage, finding our first Beaujolais Nouveau, superb even! Honore Lavigne selected for a gold medal by Jean Luc Pouteau ( described on the ...

Ended up here agin after inspecting two other aires, both OK but a bit dirty underfoot and one had to pay. Le Hourdel is free and this time we managed to park on the edge of the beach with clear views across Le Baie du Somme. Excellent walks and this morning lucky to observe a couple of seals swimming in close with the high tide, absolutely brilliant nothing like seeing seals in the wild. No photos as they move too quickly for our ...

... bustling with Sunday shoppers. The whole street knew Véro and her family !!! It gave me a wonderful feeling of being in a small town where traders knew you as a neighbour not just as a mere customer - of course Véro is a networking queen!

With all the fresh produce from the market, we went to their beautiful home with a view of the lighthouse. While I set out to see the beach and streets, she and her ...
