... Rickie wants to take us to her favourite schnitzel restuarant. Ronny who happily has been able to join us orders 9 german tapas dishes including ham and sauerkraut, meatballs in mustard, blood sausage, cabbage rolls and a herring salda to be followed by a vienna schnitzel. Rickie has warned us the schnitzels are big so Tim and I share. The schnitzels are definitly big they take up the whole plate but are delious. We have a table on the balcony and have a great ...

The only interesting stop was Checkpoint Alpha in Germany that has now been turned into an open air museum. Our group on the bus turned out to be a party group so somehow I was convinced to ...

... around other Australians after travelling for four months. I put on my Swans shirt and we had a couple of Bundy and coke and toasted Goodesy, as Australian of the Year. VB was available, but I can't even bear it in Australia, so why would I drink it in Berlin. We had meat pies as well. After the rums and when we thought we had inflicted enough angst on the youngsters, whom I am sure didn't worry about us at all, we headed back to our flat in a merry ...

... in Berlin. Once the tour is done we are left on our own to firstly find some lunch and then hit the streets to have a further look around. Berlin was obviously obliterated during the Word Wars and as such there is not a lot of 'old' buildings but there are significant sites. As we know the wall came down in 1988 and there is now only a stretch of just over a kilometer still standing in one place and there is another open air ...
