Christmas Countdown
... no tim tams?
On Thursday was Nikolaus Tag which is a day where a man dressed as Santa Claus comes with his sack and golden book with the Christkind. He reads out each child's name and the naughty and nice things that they've done over the year and awards them with a present. There were a lot of people that came over for dinner and everyone got a small gift. Its a pity I didn't grow up in Germany, I could have ...
Extreme Randomness

Aurbach and Alsbach Castles
... it also hosts Knight's Tournaments and dinner event (which they were having while we were there - we totally crashed a castle party).
When we got in the car the boys had so much energy that we decided to visit the neighboring Alsbach Castle before heading the rest of the way home. Schloss Alsbach, formerly Schloss Bickenbach was a fortress castle. It was built by the Lords of Bickenbach in the 1200's. I can't find much information on ...
