... again Rupert coped with well, the worst section was a bit of Dual Carriageway around 2 miles long up hill, we managed to maintain a steady 22mph on this, but with it being May the 1st the roads weren't busy!

We think May 1st (May day) must be a National Holiday in Germany (no waiting for the first Monday like us Brits) as pretty much every town we passed through was deserted ...

... we went back to the Christmas market in town and had another party in our mouths amazing crepe! And one last Glühwein. It was the last day for the market so it was a nice end to it all. We relaxed back at home and watched more ‘reality’ Chelsea. I was now clearly obsessed! We just enjoyed ourselves relaxing which was nice before heading out to dinner at a place that was so cute and old looking! It even had burgers named after many Arnold Schwarzenegger films. ... Nobilities, while many Bishops were appointed at the newly built seven churches in the town. During the Middle Ages, the German system of electing Kaisers (kings) was often complex and in the hands of the princes and Bishops of the entire realm. In the Germany of that time, there were 5 major ethnic groups from where these Kaisers were elected- Franks, Saxons, Bavarians, Swatrians and Lothringians.

... our things ready. We said goodbye to Julian and he drove off. Hoki, Elisabeth and I had a final debate over some Polish vodka, and then we retired to our rooms. It had been a nice visit and Elisabeth was a good host. I would have liked to have spent more time exploring the area with her excellent knowledge as a guide, but our schedule dictated otherwise.
