Met de taxi naar Schiphol
... in de taxi gehesen en daar gaan we. We zijn niet de enige die gebruik maken van het busje en de route gaat dan ook via Schoorl, Bergen en Heemstede. We weten inmiddels dat onze vlucht een kwartier vertraging heeft. Dat zou uiteindelijk een heel uur worden.
Het blijft toch een heel gedoe op vliegvelden, inchecken, paspoortcontrole en vooral dat wachten en de controle van je bagage, pffffff.... ...

Boarding the plane was neatly ordered by kids and old folks, people with money, club members (dunno which club) and "the rest", meaning us. All this was done by a kid who was heavily in touch with his feminine side and a set of card board sings reminiscent of those used to indicate boxing rounds.

Hollandser dan met deze regen hadden we geen afscheid kunnen nemen van Brakel. Wim bracht ons om 7 uur naar station Bommel waar we in de dagelijkse drukte van de NS terecht kwamen en al rond 9 uur bij de Starbucks van een eerste bakkie genoten. gift shop I got some cheese and some replacement thongs as I had
broken mine in Rome. We were also supposed to go for a bike ride
around Edam but because it was raining that was cancelled, so we
headed to the hotel in Amsterdam.
