... than GP is capable of doing. Other than a couple of queues due to road works, we eventually arrived at the camp site only to find it closed until 19:00hrs; couldn't even get passed the barrier to set up.

Once the very 'enthusiastic' staff member arrived, we set up and settled down for the night after a BBQ and a few beers.

Today we headed out looking for Het Loo which is the castle belonging to the Dutch royal family. The main castle has been turned into a museum although one Princess and her family live in a cottage on the grounds that is not accessible by the public. Up until a few years ago they did in fact live in one of the wings of the castle. The first building we came to was the stables, which still had two horses living in it. Each room had ...

Family time in the Netherlands!

A travel blog entry by nicolapollard on Feb 17, 2015

... scenery and the weather was stunning! We had lunch then walked back to Sieny's for some family photos. After staying at Sieny's for a bit longer we drove back to Apeldoorn. Remko was going away for the weekend with friends so he caught the train to Tilburg and Eline and I drove back to Apeldoorn with the kids. The next day Eline and I drove to Eindhoven to see some of the carnival celebrations. Each year to mark the start of lent there is a 4 day carnival but only in the ...
