    ... as it was incredibly steep. But Maddi and I were comfortable...sitting in the shade with our lattes. They finally made it, rested, ate and drank, and we headed down, on a different, not so steep path, which took us an hour downhill, through 'sound of music' country, farms, and lots of cows with their bells tinkling.

    Today we set off for our real European Vacation, a roadtrip down to a part of Germany called Oberbayern (Upper Bavaria), pretty much as far south as you can drive towards the Alps before you cross over into Austria.
