... at the end of the western lake (lake thunersee). What a drive!!! It was equal parts stunning and hair-raising - reminded me of that mental drive from Positano to Sorrento in Italy. 30km of driving on a narrow road wedged between the lake and the mountain - sometimes through the mountain in carved out archways. (Again, no photos as I'm posting from Rome - hopefully it's fixed soon so I can post them!) (EDIT: 18/5 Photos ...

Day 2 – Zurich….um, where are we?̷

... around downtown Interlaken.

Going to the supermarket in another country is one of my favorite ways to spend time. For some reason, I just find it so fascinating to see the layout, selection, and prices in another country. We picked up some wine and beer, but Bill lamented in the lack of ice or ice buckets in sight.

Back at the hotel, Dad damn near had a conniption fit when he could not find his toothbrush. He claimed ...
