Rising in the dark @ 4:30am I am beginning to wonder what it will be like to stay put in one place for more than a couple of days. Yes, packing up again, having breakfast @ 6:15 and going to the station for our train trip to Berlin. Two trains and about two and a half hours and we arrived at Berlin station. Then a bus to ...

... day of our Berlin adventure started late as we had gotten to bed late after the concert. We had breakfast and decided to explore the other side of the city away from the main tourist areas. Ashleigh is a young British tour guide and she gives us a very quick history lesson so that the sights mean a little more. The history spans the Prussian rulers, first and second World Wars ...

So many times we have headed out in shorts and a t-shirt feeling comfortable and then within an hour or so, the weather changes drastically to be windy, cold, and rainy. If we wait it out for a bit, the sun usually comes back with nice warm air again. It's incredibly difficult to predict so today I was prepared for everything and it worked well! Earlier this week, we met up ...

Day 71: Johnny and Amber vs. the German trains

... for trains anywhere that make any sense to a tourist. We knew that we had to take three different trains to reach our destination. We made it to the first stop alright but then we had no idea where to go. The train times did not match up with our rail planner app and the signs that the trains had over them did not have final destinations... they just had a major stop along the way. The train that we had to take were a lot like metro trains. Both ...
