      ... path leading to pirates cave. After lunch he was determined to do this, I let him go and got comfy by the pool. He arrived back an hour or so later, extremely sweaty, mumbling something about 189 lung busting steps. He says the tread on the steps was double the normal size. So glad I didn't go.       Well today was the end of the Italian part of our trip, and the start of the very small French part. We left Sardinia on a ferry at 3.30 this afternoon. We've done a lot of ferries this trip..Lake Como ( about 4 or 5), mainland Italy to Sardinia, Sardinia to Corsica. Its really second nature to me now driving on and off boats.       ... so many of the beach bars & little shops are closed or only open limited hours. It's really moving into autumn & the weather this week was cooler and the days are now about 23/26 degrees.       Sorry should have explained the pom in yesterdays blog. We kept on running into this british couple. Beach, restaurant in the street at Cagliari and lastly at the nuraghe site. By this time we were on hugging status.
      There r a lot of germans tourist. I (ann) keep getting mistaken for a german - bloody insult - sorry Mary.
