35 kms AM - A nice sunny ride out of Kelheim this morning along the north side of the Danube, no sign of rain! A lot of cycling is along the top of levee banks on firm gravel. Quite a lot of cyclists heading east as well, went past a "yacht haven" on the river at Kapfelberg. PM - Had our lunch (made at breakfast) at Matting while watching a cruise …

There were three Christmas markets in Regensberg. All were interesting. The Lucerzia market had lots of local handcrafts but the market at the Thurn and Taxis Palace had the best ambience. My only satisfaction is that when they come to Australia they will not get what they are after when it comes to salt and pepper. Schwerin to Leipzig 8.10.14 Drove to Leipzig and it was raining heavily and got stuck in a one hour traffic jam. Entered Leipzig and it was ok, lots of ...

A beautiful medieval city highlighted by the Cathedral on Domplatz and the stone bridge dating from the mid 1100's. Near the stone bridge is the famous Wurstkuche serving fine Regensburger sausage since 1135 .This is the oldest sausage kitchen in the world.Even Mozarrt ate here. The town is filled with many fine restaurants and beautiful beer gardens as well as plenty of historical sites. The city was ...
