      ... looks like a "Saturday afternoon park cricketer" but his results are world standard. What thu? By the way I am celebrating the win with a couple of local pilseners and looking out of the bar window at the Rhine River; more on that in the next blog.       ... from a couple times where it was absolutely necessary to turn right, we turned left.  We got pretzels from a bakery and sat down near the church...the very gorgeous church.  Then we went for a lovely walk along the river where we found boats for each of us that we couldn't afford and went to a chocolate factory.  We needed to head back to Bochum then, because Kai had a dance class...and I have to give it to him- he is a fantastic dancer. Far better than I ever gave ...

      ... Now, here is where my belief in time took on a whole new role.       ... The Carnival Wikipedia page said that Köln has the largest and most famous Carnival in all of Germany and we accidently ran into it. Every single person that we talked to thought we went to Köln specifically for carnival so they were super surprised to find out that we had no clue that it was happening. Somehow we always luck out with stuff like this. Such a good day and a great way to celebrate the Mardi Gras spirit over here!
