... the good old times, that shop personnel wouldn't bother too much and stuck to a simple Goedemorgen (good morning) and Tot ziens (see you later). They couldn’t care less about your day. Of course, they still don’t care, and I guess I better get used to the new ways of the old world. It could be worse.

Having arrived in Amsterdam after a long long flight via Abu Dhabi we picked up our rental car - a tiny wee Peugeot 107.
