... than GP is capable of doing. Other than a couple of queues due to road works, we eventually arrived at the camp site only to find it closed until 19:00hrs; couldn't even get passed the barrier to set up.

On our way to Cologne. We were warned about pickpockets when we arrived in Amsterdam and to watch our bags by the Tour Director. Drama began before we left. Having boarded the coach,Tour Director approached by a man who had a leather wallet of keys and showed him where he found them other side of bus. Nobody on bus claimed the keys and they were left at hotel reception desk. Just after coach left hotel Tour Director discovered his bag was missing ...

... a lorry was sideways across 3 lanes with the cab facing backwards and a few cars looking the worse for wear. Obviously not a good day for driving in Germany today. After lunch I carried on driving and there were occasional downpours which didn't help as I got more tired and then when we came to a section of roadworks I got stuck in the wrong lane and had to take the exit and was unable to rejoin the motorway. Stevo was obviously unaware of the road closure and kept taking ...

... feeling wouldn’t taint my experience of Emmerich or the volunteering either. Fortunately after one and a half hours on a train, looking at the countryside and houses flash by the feeling was virtually gone. The train I was on was heading Emmerich and once I arrived I was picked up by a project co-ordinator, Bernhard, and we headed for my accommodation/dorm room which was a part of the on campus housing of the Rhine Waal University of Applied Sciences ...

... do so. This is a far cry from the old times where one just sort of knew it was time to tie the knot. Both parties sort of knew, one was brave enough to sprout the topic and the other nodded in agreement. The happy couple paid their own wedding, they both went to choose rings to their liking and picked a date in the near future.
