... Over here in Germany we have been seeing signs for 'spaghetti ice cream' and every time we see the sign we screw our faces up... Wow not anymore, Oh my Lordy it is so delicious. The iced is very hard, pushed through a pasta machine, clumped into a bowl (it even looks like spaghetti) then topped with raspberry or strawberry sauce with finely grated white chocolate on top. ... nestled beside the large and fast flowing Rhine River. It suffered over 240 bombing raids during the second World War and the allies used the magnificent towers of the Cologne cathedral as a point of reference when conducting the raids. Thankfully the cathedral itself was not severely damaged and today it is a sight to behold. We accidentally purchased tickets to climb to near the top of one the spires however ...

... I was using a diesel pump!). So when the attendant came out to help, she discovered that the nozzle had been damaged, which is why it wouldn't fit. Moved over to another pump and problem solved.

Got to Rothenburg about 5:00 and found our hotel in the historic district. Really a neat place.

Tommorow we head to Koblenz for 2 nights along the Rhine. More then.

Up and off early. We beat Mr Annoying to it! Our plan was to travel the Romantische Straße (Romantic Road). We refuelled and found our road. The first town was Creglingen.
