... woods on either side of us. Motorway busier the closer we got to Vienna, but generally speaking lots of trucks going in both directions. A little drizzly rain from time to time as we headed further north. Temperatures lower too, dipping as low as 9 over the alps. Stuck in traffic on way in due to realignment of the road for half hour or so. Hotel Danube Hilton is situated on the river, which by the way, should not be called the blue Danube! ...

... my time here catching up with friends and exploring. This is one European city that is a MUST on any traveler's itinerary. Tomorrow I'm off to Germany for the next stage of my European Adventure... I hope my liver can handle it! A special thanks to Robert, Veronika and Juliana for making my stay so enjoyable, and of course Klara. It's been great to catch up, share a few stories, and see some of the sights of Vienna with you. I hope you've enjoyed it as much as I have :) ...

... for anyone coming to this amazing city! After lunch I headed outside only to be greeted by the rain. For a split second I considered heading back home, but decided against it almost as quickly sat the thought entered my head. I'm glad I did too, because the weather cleared up soon afterwards. Once I'd decided I'd stay in town I headed to the Imperial Palace, and the famous Vienna Butterfly House. The Butterfly House is housed in one of the most ...
