Off to Paris and then home

A travel blog entry by anthonygoodwin on Aug 08, 2014

This morning we've packed our bags, eaten quatre croissants and checked that everything is as it was when we arrived in this lovely little home in this lovely little city. We'll walk down to Rue Barni in about an hour, catch the bus the three stops to Gare du Nord (Amiens) and wait for the train to take us to Gare du Nord (Paris). We've got ...

The gardens are attached to a chateau that is owned by an elderly couple who have lived there for a long time, raising six kids in the process. ...

A bit after 5 o'clock we got a message from Robin Conde from Corbie where they had taken the boat. Would we like a drink before dinner? Yes we would, so an hour later we had found them in this very pretty little village about 25km away. We soon learnt about the hospitality and fun in the canal boat community as the party included Eddie ...

Looking for wool and a walk on Ile Saint-Aragone

Spent the early part of the day with domestic matters and then decided to go into town to find some more wool. Denise has taken to the idea of knitting a jumper for one of the babies in the village and she needed another ball. After a long walk through now increasingly familiar territory we found it was closed, so decided to take a walk back via a little ...
