... to dispose of our large cardboard bike boxes, but coincendently it was rubbish collection day, and instead of wheelie bins, they bag up the rubbish and its left on the edge of the footpath, along with flattened cardboard. Problem solved. Our bike boxes went with the hotels rubbish. The skateboard wheels were posted with our hiking boots, for the next time we would have to pack the bikes up. ... and journeyed the 2 hrs and 30 minutes to Amiens in the North of France, close to the Belgian border. During the journey we were able to take in the French country side, which including quaint villages, castles, vast forests (originally used by the aristocracy for hunting) and more modern installations. The countryside is absolutely beautiful.
