... was teaming with millions of kids so we chose beach and found a quiet spot under trees for some shade. It was already 30 degrees so we hunted down the sea for a cool off and once again the beaches were packed and not just for 500 meters but for 10 km. Its quite an education for us Kiwi's that are used to having a deserted beach whenever we want one. Not so many naked people today as you tip toe your ...

This was our last day of serious climbing and we have now dipped wheels and deposited Atlantic stones in the Meditarranean. It was a gorgeous day, and we set off as a group of five, Peter, who is feeling much better, Lori, Steve, Gilles and I. The major climb took us to the Col de Palomere at 1036 m. ... time, he had grown on us quite a bit. For sure he was timid and confused, and maybe a little scared of everything that was going on. Still, we could tell that he had a very gentle and laid-back personality. The hotel in Argeles-sur-Mer accepts pets so we are keeping him for at least one more day and frankly by this point we've given him at least a temporary name (Arthur Perpignan, because we found him near the big French town ...

Catalonia : Followed the gravel road along the deep blue Mediterranian seaside till it came to an end at a quaint resort. There we stayed for the next two days. Soaking in sun and sea, boating thru coves, and hiking along hillsides of a million olive trees. And yes ...
