    ... hours riding and 38kms in. It took us 2 hours to reach the summit of the Col de Ayne, reaching an altitude of 1031m.     We had booked the 17 Euro dinner which Pascal cooked and served to his 8 guests around a large terrace table. It was great value and included lots of the local wine. The other guests were from Montreal and Belgium.. we were fortunate that English was used all night and the conversation flowed freely - like the wine, actually! ...
