... wait up every night. Also there is no crew mess responsibility, the stew cleans up after everyone else's mess... Cool? I was exhausted (and micro-managed), and could not wait to get back to Palma.

The guests were lovely, but my enthusiasm for the boat and crew became tarnished. The guests left on the Sunday and we headed to Toulon, where we stayed for 2 nights waiting for the weather to subside. Here, fights were looming and the atmosphere ...

Another thing well worth planning if you do happen to think of St Tropez is to make sure you go there on a Saturday as it's market day. They turn the town square into a very colourful display of stalls selling all sorts of arts and crafts, farmers produce and just about everything else. Onto the tollways towards Italy.
Drove across Viaduc de Millau in brilliant sunshine. Impressive as ever.
Past Montpellier, Nimes, Aux-en-Provence, leaving the tollway (worth every euro) to head to the coast at St Tropez.
