... Art and I both got to drive it. It had a steering wheel. After that we looked around the shops and found a Rugby New Zealand shop. Then we had a stop at a Cafe then we went back on the ferry to Sainte Maxime.

When we got back we went to the beach. We all swam out to the pontoon and did bombs off it. It was boss. After our swim we had a siesta and went out for tea.

Back in the hotel we had a siesta and rested. Then went for an early tea to try and beat the crowds. We got home and packed before we went to bed as we have to be up early tomorrow to get to Cassis.

Not unsurprisingly, you could rent a lounge chair for 15 euro from the small snack ...

... shanks pony for a look around town. Like many of these towns in Europe, there are picture opportunities and whilst it is really pleasant, there is no real wow factor to separate it from other places we have visited. Carol spots a girl with a Zara bag so that cranks up the afternoon a bit and then we just meander around town before finding a little restaurant for an early dinner and then back to La Maison. Tomorrow is Sunday and it should be quiet in town. The off to ...

After 3 weeks we have said Goodbye to Italy !!
Toulon is another place that was damaged during WWII, although this town still has some older buildings. It is a smaller city again, easy to walk around. Lovely clean town with flowers blooming in hanging baskets from apartments and shops. An interesting fountain in the centre of town with people queueing up to have their photos ...
