When we arrived at La Fleche we settled in and went for a nice stroll by the river after dinner.
There were lots of British vintage TR4's, MG's and other sports cars at the campsite. - some carefully loaded in enclosed trailers.
It is quite near to Le Mans and they go there for track days.

... just down the road...which really means about 20 mins away. It is a huge market town on the banks of the Loire with views of a beautiful chateau that is now a 5* hotel and restaurant. We didn't buy anything, but it was fun looking at the local wares, the live chickens and meat stalls. After lunch we visited the Cointreau distillery, with Anjou being the home of Cointreau. ... salad baguette, and a nectarine for dessert. All washed down with some red wine produced with in the local area. Lunch was accompanied by the beautiful song of a number of Red Goats, actually called Red Throats. They are a type of bird, however, François mixed up the word goat and throat when translating their name for us. We saw many more Red Goats throughout the day, and some Orange Goats too.
After lunch we continued our ride further ...
