Today we took the train to Monaco in the morning... The train trip was worth it in itself as we sat upstairs which gave us some stunning views if the Riviera. Arrived in Monaco and emerged from train station on the cliff top. Down we went via the roadway, paths and steps instead of using the lifts and escalators so we could admire the view. ... a short time later saying Mum couldn't help herself, had stolen his wallet and put 20 euros into the machines. Only a short time after that Mum arrived back saying she had been up at one stage but it was all gone. Time to head back to the apartment. Well that's it for this time. We are off to Barcelona, Spain next. We have not booked any accomadation for the next week so it will be interesting to see where we end up. I may get Shelley to sleep in a tent yet. The kids were all remarkably well behaved and accommodating of our wanderings. Cody would jump and flail around for Nicolas, who found it all endlessly amusing. Kai was determined that Nicolas and Kaycee be boyfriend and girlfriend; not that Nicolas needed much convincing to cozy up to that cutie. All went better than expected to begin with.
We found a multi-storey car park in the centre of town and trotted off to explore.
Antibes is quite a large centre, maybe not far off the size of Cannes, with lots of large stores but miles of lovely, restaurant and caf-lined streets with hundreds of people sauntering about enjoying themselves. It has a very holiday-like atmosphere.
