      ... you will find the 101 Airborne "Easy Company" memorial. This is the company celebrated in Band of Brothers. In the field behind the memorial is where so many of that company lost their lives fighting off the Germans. It was somber and moving, but the field was covered in snow and was very beautiful.       ... the roads they needed to control all met in Bastogne. They were trying to get to the port of Antwerp to disrupt the Allied supply line. Back to Bastogne. From December 20-27, the Germans attacked the town. The Allies held.       We spent the morning exploring Oostende by bicycle. The town
      is extremely neat and clean and really quite a nice place to be. We essentially
      made a circuit that included the beach front and parts of the city. The beach
      is long, wide and sandy and actually reminded me a lot of our beach back home

      ... risk it. Thus she got my yummy soup and i got her ceaser salad.

      After lunch we went and drank some more beer. Next was another dark beer, this also came with cheese flavored by feeding the cows the discarded wheat, malt and hops. It was great.

      The next beer we got was a blond. This was nice but not as flavorsome as dark beers.

      Once we had this beer we were basically ready to head back.
