After a rainy 5 hr drive from San Sebastian we arrived in Sarlat la Caneda.
Such a gorgeous town.
We are staying right in the centre of the historical area.
The apartment is the best so far with 3 levels, exposed timber beams and loads of character. Greg is going to replicate this for me in our next home.
The town has small,cobblestoned streets that can get lost in, lined with little restaurants ...

... They collected tin tin cars and just speak a different language.
So today we went to a cliff city.
It was built into a mountain. There was only 1 way in so if someone attacked everybody would guard there and they would be safe.
There was catapults and churches and basically everything you need to survive except they had to go down to harvest crops for food. It was really cool.

... We were there for about 2 hours.

We played spot light in the dark and then we went inside because it was really cold.

We had pasta for dinner and watched Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2.
