A couple today I'm afraid. First one is that the French toll system for the highways seem to have changed to credit card or Toll Pass ie. no cash. Guess what my NZ credit and debit cards don't work. So I get to an unmanned toll booth, push the button for help while traffic backs up behind me and pay in cash when someone turns up. I am not popular. It happens three times today. Next my rental car is a Peugeot 208 which sounded good ...

... the village there are some old buildings around the Place du Tour (the place in front of the church tower), a few pottery shops, none of which were open and only one which had anything worth a closer look in the window, and a wood artist shop (also closed). The main chapel in town was quite interesting inside with some huge oil paintings in very ornate gilt frames. These and the altar were closed off by locked iron gates so we assume ...
