Typical Day

... of cafe's to go relax at! Depending on the day, I have both kids around 4. Some days one of the kids have sports for an hour after school, which means that I have to come at 4 to get one and wait for the other until 5. I'm not quite sure when we get home to be honest. Every day is very different. Some days we'll take the train to a stop by Jutta's work where she'll pick us up between 5:30 & 6. Other days Rüdiger might pick ...

Challenge Accepted

... the first day alone and I told them that they could play for 45 minutes tomorrow if the trip home went well. Of course, it didn't go that well. It was already packed by the time we got there, but it was really awesome (and cold!). Of course there is a lot of fish sold there, but there were also ...

I have survived my first week as an Au Pair! Of course there is still the weekend to go, but I made it through the first week of waking up at 6am and picking the kiddos up from school every day. The days have been quite long, but also very good. Every day is different and there's always something to see and do. Hamburg is such a big and diverse place that I don't think it's going to be possible for me to get bored. Next week will be a little more challenging. Both Jutta (my host mom) and ...

... of their events management class, where they experienced the Farmer Party, whilst I stayed at the flat and took some much needed rest.

On the Sunday we went out to see the Christmas Markets, enjoy more Glühwein, before heading off for cake at Susan's place, whilst on my final day I took a day to see the city by myself whilst everyone else had class. I then rejoined them all one last time before I headed back off to the ...
