... Prince Carnaval symbolically runs the city during Carnaval. The mayor hands over the key to the city and then the celebration begins and lasts until they transfer it back. Well the Prince Carnaval, it turns out, was the baker with the giant head, and they take him up to a stage in the middle of the Markt, parade him around for a bit, sing some, and then unveil who it is.
