Bus ride to Black Forest this morning. Walk through medieval Colmar this afternoon. Breisach was first European city. During the 30 years war, inhabitants dropped from 9000 to 900. ... We continued on to Baden-Baden. It is a beautiful high end resort known for its thermal mineral baths (discovered in Roman times). There is a beautiful casino, that was classier than Monaco! The buildings and shops were amazing! We drove back to Strasbourg, and our boat. We then started are sail to Basel, Switzerland. We will spend tomorrow (our last day on the River Melody) in Basel. Tonight we have the crew shop which should be great ...

Monday morning and we leave base and climb into cloud, hopefully heading
for Grand Ballon along La Route Des Cretes in the Vosges but unable to see anything, stop for a coffee on the tops and there are cows in the field with bells - sounds like we are
at a music school, cloud lifting and off we go for the 55 mile La Route Des
Cretes around the ...
