Part of the town is called little Venice, the narrow canals run around the tall timbered buildings, on Tanners street the houses were 7 stories high with open balconies on the top floor for drying the hides. Only took 2 hours, very quick on the autobahn. Parked the car to look around, what a quaint town, found our accomodation, very special one of the oldest buildings, 1540. Right in the main square. Brought a butter/pate knife at the outdoor market by the church, 10€. Lisbeth somehow managed to talk me into a morning jog around Strasbourg. 6km later, this turned out to be a very good idea. I felt refreshed and energized even while sweating a bit during breakfast.
