... we were convinced there were at least 78 ahead of us. So we abandoned ship and took their suggestion of a visit to Chateau des Milandes near Domme on the Dordogne. It was our lucky day. Just as we arrived, the raptors exhibition started and we had front row seats in the chateau garden. Two handlers took falcons, owls etc through their paces and it was wonderful. A big day's driving today, as we knocked off 6 pages of the map book and around 260km en route to the Loire. A bit of a slow start as we negotiated a number of smaller roads, and then, as we entered a small town, we found ourselves in the middle of market day!
