Day 20: Avignon and Beaune

A travel blog entry by creeky on Jul 25, 2015

Today started in a very disappointing way, as we walked in to have our breakfast we were greeted with many hungry people. We found very little juice, no bread or hot food, very little cereal (many eating on plates and with forks due to no bowls or spoons), and one of our tour party clearing tables so many of us could sit down. Apparently having two groups eating close to each other didn't work, and the hotel didn't cope very well. On the plus side our tour director did say as ...

We stopped at the info desk where the guy was really lovely and told us where to go. We walked about 20 mins. The water ...

I told them I couldn’t go to the back of the bus and everyone just stared at me. I had to ask if anyone was willing to give up their seats – I was so embarrassed. Finally, a couple in the fourth row got up and I thanked ...

This weekend we went into the city to go to the little holiday festival thing they have every year. I guess that it has really gone down hill, my host parents said that there used to be many more people but now there isn't anything. Apparently they stopped doing the Pig Run a few years ago and that used to bring tons of people. A Pig Run is not where they make a bunch of pigs race but where people, with a pig under their arm, run thru a ...
