Next stop Italia!!!!

We continued along the coast road looking for a spot for the night. Traffic was horresdous and very slow going. I wanted to turn around and head back into France. Kim on the other hand was all smiles as she loves Italy. Finally found one in the cute little fishing village of Riva Ligure ...

After brekkie it was onto Menton which is a lovely little town just before the Italian border. Menton is a much more down to earth place than its neighbours and more our scene. We found a park right on the beach and went for a wander and took in sum much needed sun. Next stop Italia!!<br>

Not the full monte

... and not campervan parking friendly. We found a picture perfect stop just after Monte Carlo at the top of a hill overlooking the Med. We had the place to ourselves so we russelled up some brekkie in the sun which was lovely, so much so we were in t-shirts!!!

Gorges Verdon... Route Napoleon

Gorgeous morning and a stunning place for breakfast awaited us just outside Scooby overlooking the lake. I went for a run but Kim was feeling a little under the weather so she stayed and made me breakfast - yay! We spotted two girls about our age and attempted to engage in some conversation but their English was limited and French is rubbish. Shame as its manily been the grey hair brigade we ...

Tuesday of the last week: by Aaron

... Never have I spent two weeks in a room the size of our bathroom. Europeans don't have drapes, but rather a garage door that rolls down over their windows. So, if you can picture it, we're sitting on our bed in a small room with effectively no windows. Hey Bruce, don't they call that "solitary confinement"? I reacted. On Sunday, we found the nearest 4 star hotel in the area and rolled up in style... l'autobus (the public bus)! La Reserve at Beaulieu is ...

Week 2, Day 3

... that we all love, and that was fun. Tonight we have a school-sponsored dinner at a restuarant on the port, so hopefully that won't suck (the pop-quiz feeling while speaking, not the dinner...though I hope that doesn't suck too.) Drinks are expensive here, so I had a glass here at home and now I'm all sleepy! Might go catch a nap before we have to leave. Anyway, that's what's up. Weather's still nice (yay!) Love you guys!

Day 2: groceries and laundry

... yucky food we've had in France. Aaron didn't feel well after, and we ended up taking the scenic route home on foot up the hills, so that didn't help matters much! We're all cozy back at home now, and I've ironed our "school clothes" for tomorrow. I'm really nervous! I am sure it will all be fine, but I just don't want to suck at it, and I hope I'm not a giant dork like I can be when I'm nervous. Anyway, wish me luck! Aaron says "hi." Goodnight!

... or two. Once he had arrived we went to their "studio apartment" which is one long narrow room with a small bathroom. Gathered supplies for a picnic dinner and walked to the walls of the town overlooking the harbour with a fabulous view. Met a couple of their friends there and a pleasant evening was had sampling some of the reds both we and they had acquired over the last few days. A wonderful end to a varied day.
