      ... at how soft the snow was- just like Fairy floss. We drove on towards Grenoble and then Gap where we were staying the night. We drove through the most amazing picturesque scenery. Towering mountains and old fortresses either side as we moved along the valleys. Just stunning.

      The hotel we stayed in was in a good location with the host being very friendly, he reminded us of Gabriel Gate. Gap was a gorgeous little town easily explored by foot from just outside the hotel.

      ... ski shoes. On that note I don't know how people carry skis and poles and gloves etc around without looking like fumbling mumbling idiots. Seriously. Our guide "tweety" ran us through the basics. I didn't do too bad apart from crashing into my friend who had no travel insurance. Whoops.       ... we weren't total wreckages and did gain some early confidence. When a green run turned blue and we were faced with several rather steep drops, ridiculously considered 'slopes' the talked about confidence quickly disappeared.
