In nicht mal 48 Stunden fliege ich los und es ist genau das eingetreten, was ich befürchtet habe: was soll ich bloß einpacken?! The next two weeks, starting Wednesday, I'm attending a teacher's refresher course in Southampton. I applied for a Comenius grant, which has been approved, so moneywise there's no problem. Except that I have to write a report, of course.

... So I'll be traveling the first 2500 km from the Netherlands to Tarifa, Spain as fast as I can. I'm hoping to be able to ride at least a good 500 km every day, which means that I would be in Tarifa after 5 days. ... letzten Einkäufe sind auch schon erledigt und der Endspurt für Besorgungen hat begonnen. Außerdem konnte ich mich immer noch nicht entscheiden, welche Klamotten ich einpacken möchte. Das ist aber auch echt schwierig...
Nächste Woche wird dann noch Geburtstag gefeiert und dann gehts auch schon los.

Back stage VIP... No biggie
So so so super happy to be travelling again. Was a tad nervous leaving Duesseldorf but not looking back at all. Middle child gave me a stuffed giraffe-hippo which I decided to name Ernest Hemingway or Hemi for short. Very cute methinks.
On Monday morning I had my first mitfahrgelegenheit (carpooling with randoms) experience. A DJ / law student drove me from Duesseldorf to Muenster. Was better than I expected; we chatted most of the way.
